Summary.

GI Pro are working with a prestige engineering client in the Ripley area, who are actively seeking a skilled CNC Miller to join their existing team.

Working on high quality, high integrity, complex parts in a range of materials, the role on offer will be challenging and rewarding.

Paying between £16.16ph - £19.20ph (plus 33% shift allowance for nights)

Working a 2-week rotating shift Days & Nights as follows:

Days: Monday - Thursday 7:30am - 4:30pm / Friday 7.30am - 12.:30pm

Nights: Monday - Wednesday 8:30pm - 7am / Thursday 8.30am - 6am

Overtime paid at Tx1/2

The client - Precision Engineering specialist for Defence, Aerospace, food, and other sectors

The role:

  • Machining of complex, high integrity parts in a variety of materials (nickel alloys, stainless steels, titanium, aluminium, carbon steels)
  • Online Programming, setting, and operating, and proving out.
  • Read and work from complex engineering drawings.
  • Use quality measuring equipment including verniers and callipers.
  • Deburring of components where required.
  • Ensure that route card instructions are followed, and that all documentation is completed to company procedures.
  • Perform periodic maintenance checks of equipment as appropriate.
  • Proactively identify and suggest improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure all working hours are accurately logged (direct and indirect hours)

Qualifications / Experiences

  • Skilled CNC Miller with Online programming
  • Experience of multiple control systems is preferred (Fanuc, Siemens, Heidenhein, Mazatrol)
  • Experience of relevant industries, Nuclear, Automotive, Aerospace
  • Experience of working to tight tolerances
  • Able to work rotating shift Patterns.

  • Day & Night Shift rotation (Night rate +33% shift allowance)
  • 39 hours per week plus overtime available
  • Overtime @ TX ½
  • Holiday entitlement - 33 days (including statutory)
  • Company Sick Pay Scheme active after 1 years' service
