Elevation Recruitment Group are working with an industrial machinery supplier to recruit a Service Engineer to join their Rotherham facility.

  • Salary – up to £37k + £65 per day overseas (hotel, food and transport provided)
  • 27 days + stats, DIS 10%, Salary sacrifice pension scheme up to 6% employer. Westfield level 3
  • 65% based at Rotherham site - 35% overseas travel 
  • Working hours: Monday – Thursday 7-3:30 finish at 1pm on Friday and 2nd Friday off

Reporting to the EDT Product Manager, the Service Engineer will be responsible for installing, commissioning, servicing and repairing supplied equipment, both in-house and on-site at customer’s facilities.  

Other responsibilities of the Service Engineer include:

  • Undertaking all work activities safely, ensuring compliance with all health, safety and environmental policies and procedures
  • Install, commission, service and repair supplied equipment down to component level
  • Provide customer instruction and training on the correct operation and maintenance of the equipment
  • Supervise third party labour during installation and operation activities
  • Complete and submit service documentation for customer and internal use
  • Liaise with customers and Management regarding progress of installation and repair work
  • Ensure delivery of a quality product and services, by following the necessary process and procedures
  • Exercise commercial awareness, including promoting products and services, and being conscious of both costs and the customer’s needs

We would be keen to speak with Service Managers who possess the following:

  • Multi-skilled technician, though biased towards electrical/electronic disciplines
  • Experience working within an industrial setting
  • HNC or above in electrical/electronic engineering or a related subject
  • Have excellent communication skills and experience in dealing with customers at all organisational levels
  • Be self-motivated and possess good time-management skills
  • Be willing and able to travel, sometimes at short notice and for extended periods
