Are you an ambitious individual looking to kickstart your career in Quantity Surveying with a leading main contractor in construction? We are currently seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a dynamic team and assist in maintaining robust commercial and contractual control throughout the duration of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Quantity Surveyor/Senior Quantity Surveyor in overseeing commercial and contractual activities during the construction process.
- Support the bid team in advising on subcontractors, package scopes, and prelims during the project tender process.
- Collaborate with the site team to examine Conditions of Contract and prepare necessary documentation for discussion with senior management.
- Aid in managing all financial and contractual arrangements with the Main Contract, including valuation preparation and variation agreements.
- Assist in establishing and maintaining project profitability while identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Prior experience or knowledge of construction contracts and procurement processes preferred
