What you need to know about the role

The Central Engineering Building Services Department undertakes a range of duties associated with the sites domestic water and heating systems i.e. Legionella compliance, Pressure Systems, Domestic water systems repairs.

As part of a team reporting to the departmental Team Leader working days Monday to Friday, you will be expected to undertake a range of plumbing tasks to a high standard of precision and quality. You will work to achieve workshop targets, customer service and health and safety objectives.

Using your skills to achieve business objectives, you will react to engineering, quality and safety issues as they arise and utilise your knowledge, experience and skill to initiate corrective actions.

What we need to know about you
You must be qualified to a minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant plumbing or plumbing/pipefitting trade or have served a recognised apprenticeship*.

Ideally, you will have plumbing and steam heating experience within an industrial or heavy engineering environment. Essential to the role is the ability to adapt to a variety of systems. You must be flexible, have a desire to learn and develop.
