Elevation Accountancy & Finance are excited to be working with a highly reputable business based in Sheffield City Centre as they look to expand their workforce with the recruitment of an Accounts Assistant into their well-established team!

What we’re looking for:

  • Someone with great technical accountancy knowledge
  • Experience in a finance role of a similar nature will be required
  • Great attention to detail with a real passion for numbers
  • Takes ownership of your own development
  • Genuine willingness and enthusiasm to work and progress in a busy office whilst able to display a thoughtful and professional attitude to all stakeholders

  • Excellent IT skills including the Microsoft Office suite and Sage software
  • All candidates will be required to provide evidence of eligibility to work in the UK

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Handling sales ledger (generating invoices, allocating payments, debt chasing, liaising with clients)
  • Managing the purchase ledger (inputting purchase invoices, reconciling supplier statements, credit control, liaising with suppliers, credit card reconciliations)
  • Assisting with monthly payroll preparation for over 100 employees (reviewing expenses, posting the monthly pension onto our pension regulator website and managing P11D benefits)
  • Manage team inbox and work closely with the rest of the team to ensure that tasks are triaged appropriately, prioritised and expectations are managed
  • Deal with accounting and payroll queries from staff and directors
  • Liaise and relay business and accounting information to non-accounting professionals
  • Additional accounts ad-hoc duties
  • Ensure all processing deadlines are met in line with stakeholder agreements
  • Abides by strict compliance procedures, anti-money laundering, data protection and fraud prevention
