PRODUCTION AND PLANNING MANAGER (Food Product Related)

Role Summary:

To control and maintain accurate production planning processes across the business, ensuring complete and deliverable scheduling of all products & production lines. To manage the team of planners, production and stock administrators to ensure the on time and accurate completion of all works order controls including closing and syncing within Customer SLA’s To provide key performance / KPI metrics, ensuring accurate and timely reporting across the operation and wider business.

Main Responsibilities:

Manage a multi-shift, multi-function team ensuring adequate shift coverage within the bounds of Working Time Directive and Ethical standards, driving continuous skill development within team. Ensure that the team deliver the following on a daily basis:

• Accurately control and complete production related paperwork across all production lines, and stock movement documentation

• Liaise with Sales team and to ensure all orders captured, all jobs set up on correct lines and shifts are conforming to plan

• Ensure regular Plan Status updates to Production Management Teams

• To review/reconcile the work order stock information to increase the accuracy of stock, closing works orders by end of each production shift

• Actively liaise with colleagues on a day to day basis on matters relating to stock, work orders, stock errors etc., to allow for decisions to be made “real-time” which will increase the accuracy of stock usage information.

• To review/reconcile the ERP system work order documentation and investigate and resolve any discrepancies.

• Ensure that all practices and procedures are carried out in accordance with Company Policy and Health & Safety guidelines.

• Create a rolling 7 day forecast in ERP using Scheduler tools and customer forecasts / insight

• Ensure a refined / final production plan is in place for following day, taking internal and external factors into account

• Work and communicate with customers to enable stock arrivals / quality issues / job types to be built into the production plan

• Provide full communication to the business around volume planning / actuals and ensure understanding of impacts to the plan

• Responsible to ensure key master data tables in ERP are up to date and reviewed on a weekly basis, as appropriate

• Manage the accurate and timely creation of new products
