Production Team Leader

Major Recruitment is currentlylooking for a Production Team Leader to join our well established client based in Skelmanthorpe.

We are looking for Team Leader who can use their attributes & skills to effectively lead and support our Technical Team in achieving production targets, maintaining quality standards, and contributing to the overall success of the organisation.

Role of Team Leaer is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation and performance of our production team, with the main focus to increase productivity and maintain it at the highest level, whilst developing skills of all team members.

Key Responsibilities of Team Leader

• Assign and manage daily tasks to maximize team productivity.
• Address and resolve issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• Continuously improve workflows and implement best practices.
• Clearly communicate expectations to ensure deadlines and quality standards are met.
• Collaborate with the Production Control Manager on deliveries, priorities, and overdue orders.
• Develop solutions and set priorities to guide your team effectively.
• Track production metrics, identify areas for improvement, and report on key performance indicators.
• Oversee daily operations, including downtime and shortage management.
• Conduct regular personal reviews with technicians.
• Identify skill gaps and arrange necessary training.
• Manage induction processes for new hires and handle holiday bookings.
• Address staff performance and absence issues, coordinating with management on disciplinary matters.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain workspace security.
• Implement and supervise 5S methods and lean manufacturing standards.

Salary & Benefits

25,000.00 - 28,000.00 per annum, paid monthly in arrears (dependent on experience).

Performance Bonus: Eligible for a performance-related bonus after the successful completion of the probationary period and meeting absence targets.

Holiday: 28 days per year, including bank holidays and Christmas shutdown.

Attendance Bonus: Potential to accrue up to an extra week of holiday for the following year, based on quarterly absence-free performance.

Working Hours

Standard Hours: 08:30 to 16:26, Monday to Friday,

May be required to work overtime ,compensated with a holiday credit scheme.
