We are working on behalf of an esteemed employer who are looking to recruit an experienced Receptionist to join their front of house team, working on a permanent part time basis. Your core part time working hours would be 22 hours per week working on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8am until 1.30pm inclusive.

As you will be working as part of a small front of house team, you must be flexible to work extra hours and days as required on a planned basis to cover holidays, or unplanned basis to cover sickness. Any hours worked above your usual contracted 22 hours will be paid.

This is a fantastic opportunity for any experienced Receptionists to join a world-class employer at their outstanding office premises. You would be the face of the business and pride yourself on providing a friendly and premium customer service to all internal and external stakeholders. You will work collaboratively as part of a small customer focused reception team managing the front of house operations.

Role and responsibilities:

  • As a part time Receptionist you will be acting as first point of contact into the business both face to face and over the phone in a professional and approachable manner
  • Managing the reception area daily with warmly greeting visitors and registering them onto the inhouse visitor registration system
  • Responsible for answering and transferring calls on a busy switchboard
  • Ensure the front of house facilities are maintained to a high standard
  • Manage and process all courier and special postal requests
  • Handle all incoming and outgoing post
  • Organise and setup meeting rooms when required
  • General administration support to other departments in the business
  • Be flexible to provide cover for holidays and sickness

Skills and experience required:

  • Proven work history as a Receptionist or working front of house is essential
  • Experienced in handling a busy switchboard
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A positive, customer focused and can-do attitude
  • Comfortable working in a small team collaboratively
  • Ability to act with integrity with a discreet manner
  • Flexibility to cover holidays and sickness (sometimes at short notice)
