Our well-established client is currently recruiting for a Technical Support Engineer to join their team in Hixon. The main function of the role is to ensure the provision of a high level of Technical Support and customer service, by direct and indirect contact with all external and internal customers within the plumbing and heating markets.
Main Duties:
- Technical assistance to external and internal customers
- Resolve customer queries (internal and external) and provide effective responses, solutions or support
- Facilitate and co-ordinate engineer site visits
- Maintain and develop nationwide coverage of subcontracting engineers
- Maintain costs of site visits within set budget
- Carry-out supplier recharges for certification and product associated costs
- Ensure effective and appropriate communication
- Provide effective contribution to continual improvement of processes
- Ensure effective teamworking within and across departments
- Ensure compliance with all company procedures and policies
- Ensure compliance with company Health and Safety Policies
Qualifications / Education:
- Good standard of education within a technical subject
- Relevant industry - Plumbing / heating background beneficial
- Knowledge of HWS / CWS preferred
- Proven record of a similar role within a proactive Technical or Customer Support Team advantageous
