Westwood Recruitment are currently recruiting for a CNC Machinist to join our client who are a world renowned Manufacturing company based in Bredbury.
The role entails:
- To be able to machine components to technical drawings and specifications.
- To set-up and operate CNC machines correctly.
- Manufacture components from engineering drawings, whilst working within company Quality procedures.
- Self-inspection of own work.
- Ensure that preventative & General maintenance checks are carried out.
- To ensure that all HSE legislations are adhered to at all times.
You will:
- Be able to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Have knowledge to set and operate CNC machines – Milling
- Know how to edit and prove out CNC programs.
- Know how to use a range of measuring equipment (micrometers, verniers etc.)
- Have sound knowledge of geometrical tolerances.
- Good attention to detail.
- Be a strong team player with a can do attitude.
- Be able to produce components to the correct standards within a timely and efficient manner.
- Be able to maintain a high level of housekeeping and follow the 5S program.
Job Requirements:
- Experience within the oil and gas industry is preferred but not essential.
- You will have minimum 5 years’ experience operating CNC machines.
- Engineering Apprenticeship or similar or time served
- Fanuc experience advantageous.
