Health and Safety Manager - Stroud - up to £50,000 per annum

Hours: Monday – Friday (Full time)

You may be the one our client is searching high and low for, do you have experience managing health and safety within different environments? Do you want to work for a very pretigious company located in Stroud, Gloucestershire?

You will need to be able to formulate and adhere to H&S policies, helping with the implementation of plans which align with legal requirements. As a Health and Safety Manager you will need to hold a valid certification in Occupational Health and Safety, who can assess practices, procedures and carry out the required risk assessments. 


Key Responsibilities of a Health and Safety Manager:

  • Assess equipment and machinery for potential unsafe conditions, escalate these findings to the required department.
  • Deliver training sessions and presentations on health and safety as well as and accident prevention.
  • Implement health and safety plans in accordance with legal guidelines.
  • Assess risks that may be present and adhere to the correct H&S policies.
  • Evaluate practices, procedures, and facilities.
  • Create reports which explain health and safety awareness, issues, and statistics within the business.
  • Provide recommendations for addressing H&S matters.
  • Implement H&S plans in the workplace in accordance with legal guidelines and H&S policies.
  • Investigate accidents or incidents to identify causes and manage worker's compensation claims.

Key Skills of a Health and Safety Manager:

  • Previous experience in a Health & Safety position, whether you are a Health and Safety Coordinator, Health and Safety Assistant, or similar.
  • Previous experience with generating reports and create appropriate H&S policies.
  • Knowledge of legal H&S guidelines.
  • Valid certification in Occupational Health and Safety.
