Quantity Surveyor

My client requires a Senior Quantity Surveyor to take control of a prestigious project with multiple high value packages. The project is already in the construction phase and needs an experienced Quantity Surveyor from a main contractor background to join the experienced team and deliver the project to completion.

This is a permanent role with a company who have an excellent reputation in delivering high quality projects across the South and South West to the highest standards and with a growing pipeline of projects. You will join an experienced site based team that includes a project and assistant QS, Project Manager & Site/Package Managers reporting into the commercial & construction managers.

The Person

You will have at least 10 years Quantity Surveying experience with a medium to large main contractor delivering new build, cut & carve or refurbishment projects with values from circa £10m+ and this must be UK based experience.

You will have excellent communication skills and be able to co-ordinate several phases of projects overseeing all commercial matters both directly and indirectly through the team of junior QS’s.

You will take responsibility for monitoring and reporting.

Able to identify and report when the project is likely to exceed the budget set.

You will have experience of both traditional and modern methods of construction

You will have a practical, logical and methodical approach to identify and solve problems
