My client a multidisciplinary consultancy specializing in high-end residential projects, is seeking to expand there Quantity Surveying team. With a competitive salary starting from £40,000 per year, plus additional benefits including gym membership, 20 days holiday plus bank holidays, and around 2 weeks off at Christmas, this role offers an attractive package for the right candidate. They also offer support for attaining APC if desired.

Location: The role offers a flexible working arrangement, with time split between home working and our office in Thames Ditton (Surrey) after the 6 month period.

Description: Reporting to the Head of Quantity Surveying, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Leading the cost management of multiple projects from inception to completion.
  • Overseeing the preparation of tender documents, contracts, budgets, pricing documents, and other documentation.
  • Managing and mentoring a team of quantity surveyors and ensuring high standards of work are maintained.
  • Advising on procurement strategy and contractual claims.
  • Assessing the commercial impact of design changes and providing cost-effective solutions.

Successful Candidate Will Have:

  • A recognized degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline, coupled with significant professional experience in the residential sector.
  • Chartered status with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or equivalent.
  • A strong track record in financial management and cost control on large-scale residential projects.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in managing a team of quantity surveyors.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a client-focused approach.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills, able to effectively coordinate with all levels of staff and external stakeholders.
