Location: Hillingdon
Hours: 8.30-3.30 Mon-Fri

About the Role

We are seeking a caring, patient, and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. You will work closely with class teachers and the SEND team to help pupils access learning, build confidence, and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND
  • Support learning activities under the guidance of the class teacher
  • Adapt resources and activities to meet individual needs
  • Encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation
  • Support pupils with personal care where required
  • Observe, record, and report on pupil progress
  • Follow safeguarding, behaviour, and health and safety policies

Requirements

  • Experience working with children with SEND (desirable)
  • A calm, caring, and resilient approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Understanding of different needs such as ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, or SEMH (desirable)
  • A commitment to safeguarding and inclusion
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
