Cover Supervisor

Location: Wakefield
Salary: Up to £115 per day
Contract: Full Time, Long Term (Starting September)

About the Role:
GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor for a long-term position in Wakefield, starting in September. This role involves managing classroom activities in the absence of the subject teacher and maintaining a conducive learning environment.

Job Summary:

• Supervise students and ensure they carry out pre-prepared educational activities and tasks.
• Maintain discipline according to the school policies.
• Manage classroom resources and space effectively.

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure that lesson objectives set by a teacher are met.
• Support students in completing tasks and understanding the material.
• Report back on the behaviour of pupils during the class and any issues arising.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous but is not essential.
• Strong classroom management skills and ability to promote a positive learning environment.
• Good interpersonal and organisational skills.

Note:
Candidates must demonstrate a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies. Background checks, including an enhanced DBS disclosure, will be required for successful applicants.
