JOB DESCRIPTION

Impact Security are looking for Security Officer to join their team at this site, we are looking for a candidate that will be responsible for securing premises, gate house duties, You would be conducting foot patrols, controlling access at points of entry, securing equipment and people, responding to emergency situations and helping to identify and prevent criminal activity.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is based on a single site, it is 48+ hours per week overtime may be available it is a full time role with guaranteed hours often working on a rostered shift basis.

Types of activities you could be doing will include the following: -

• You are required at all times to have a smart appearance, be alert and visible security presence at the premises of our customers.
• You will be required to conduct shift handover procedures at the start and end of each of your shift to ensure all matters of concern are passed on for the purposes of service and incident management
• Writing complete and accurate handover/incident reports and taking appropriate action as required on all reports passed to you at the commencement of your shift
• you are required to ensuring the safety and security of our customers buildings and assets by complying with safe working procedures and carrying out all security duties as instructed, including internal and external patrols, searching people and vehicles
• You are required to report any security events and dealing with emergency situations, including initial alerts and evacuations, in accordance with site procedures
• you are required to work as part of a team to provide conflict resolution assistance the customers premises where there is potential for conflict
• your are required to Greet, assisting and directing members of the public visiting the premises of our customer.
  
  SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• A valid security industry licence
• Prior experience of working as a Security Officer in the security industry or someone who is confident following specific procedures and instructions
• Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing
• Good customer service skills
• Attention to detail and alert to any changes that may indicate an increased security risk or unusual situation
• A checkable personal history including periods of education, employment, travel and unemployment for the last 5 year,
