We are seeking a dedicated English Teacher with lead responsibility to join our SEN school in Middlesex. This is a full-time, permanent position ideal for a candidate with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) who is looking to take on a leadership role within a supportive and specialised educational environment.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Deliver high-quality English lessons to students with special educational needs, adapting teaching methods to cater to individual learning requirements.
  • Develop and implement engaging curriculum materials and lesson plans.
  • Take on lead responsibilities, guiding and supporting other staff members in the English department.
  • Monitor and assess students’ progress, providing feedback and tailored support to ensure academic development.
  • Collaborate with other teachers, parents, and external agencies to support the holistic development of students.
  • Contribute to the school’s strategies for promoting literacy across the curriculum.
  • Participate in and lead continuous professional development activities to enhance teaching practices and student outcomes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Proven experience in teaching English, preferably in an SEN setting.
  • Strong understanding of the English curriculum and effective teaching methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to create an inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with staff, students, and parents.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
