We are looking for an experienced, passionate, motivated and experienced Sous Chef to join to join our established restaurant in West Malling.
The Swan is an independent leading Kent restaurant bringing modern dining to the lively market town of West Malling. The restaurant and bar combines stylish design and bespoke furnishings, creating a relaxed yet vibrant atmosphere.
Duties and Responsibilities as a Sous Chef
- As Sous Chef you will work closely with Head Chef ensuring your kitchen delivers the highest quality food to our guests.
- As a natural leader you will inspire your team, developing their knowledge and setting the culture within the kitchen in line with our company vision.
- You will be responsible for all aspects of supervising the kitchen team and complete responsibility for running the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef whilst being committed to exceeding guest expectations. You will be a strong individual with an exceptional background in fresh food operations, ensuring excellent food hygiene and health & safety standards are met at all times.
- We expect the candidate to have a positive, can-do attitude and good time management so as to cope with busy periods.
- Working with the freshest, highest-quality ingredients you will enjoy the buzz of a busy kitchen and working efficiently within a team.
- You will have experience working as a Sous Chef and experience of leading a team in a high-volume restaurant.
- Positive attitude is essential and with a good command of English'
