Carbon60 is actively seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join a dynamic team working for a global construction based in Whitstable with the option of Hybrid working. This permanent role offers a competitive salary of 50,000 per year, along with numerous benefits and opportunities for career growth.

Role Purpose:

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the project, collaborating closely with the Project Team to ensure efficient management of commercial contractual matters. Your role will involve maintaining high standards of commercial acumen to achieve desired margin returns.

Key Accountabilities:

- Taking active responsibility for all financial procedures in collaboration with the Senior Surveyor.

- Playing a lead role in the valuation process and suggesting trade contractors, systems, and manufacturers for team appraisal.

- Developing initial project budgets and agreeing on detailed cost plans with the Senior Surveyor.

- Advising clients on procurement routes and assisting with value engineering exercises.

- Managing the change process and overseeing the financial aspects of procurement and project delivery.

Skills & Experience:

- Previous experience in successfully carrying out surveying roles on projects exceeding 3 million in value.

- Preferably, experience within fit out projects

- Recognised qualification in a building-related subject.
