Supply desk are seeking an outstanding nurturing, vibrant Special Educational Needs (SEN) teacher to work closely pupils with complex learning difficultuies in a school in the Winslow (Buckinghamshire) area. The school is looking to appoint a qualified and experienced SEN school teacher with a proven track record of success in the classroom.
The role:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that accommodate various learning styles and abilities.
- Create and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs.
- Assess and monitor students' progress regularly, adjusting teaching methods accordingly to address their specific needs.
- Collaborate with other teachers, teaching assistants, and support staff to ensure a cohesive and inclusive learning environment.
- Work closely with parents, guardians, and caregivers to provide regular updates on students' progress and development.
- Attend meetings with the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) and other professionals to discuss students' needs and progress.
The ideal candidate:
- Teaching qualification and relevant certifications for working with students with special educational needs (e.g., PGCE in Special Education).
- Proven experience as a SEN Teacher, preferably in a similar educational setting.
- Strong understanding of various learning difficulties and disabilities.
- Patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to teaching and supporting students.
