Murray Myers Recruitment are very pleased to be assisting their client, based in Wolverhampton with the recruitment of a key member of their production team - Production Planner

Position & Authority In this role you shall report directly to the Technical Sales Manager. You will be required to frequently interact with other departments such as sales, production, expediting, subcon, and quality personnel. You will have the authority to question any instruction that you believe to be incorrect and raise your concern with all of these departments.

The key duties and responsibilities of a Production Planner include:

• Developing and maintaining production schedules to ensure timely delivery of goods.• Coordinating with different departments i.e. sales, marketing, and logistics to plan and adjust production needs.• Analyzing production specifications and plant capacity data to determine manufacturing processes and tools.• Monitoring and adjusting schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.• Working with Production/Manufacturing to fulfill delivery needs.• Working with the Integrated Project Teams to create transition plans for hardware from development to production.• Communicating and coordinating with Production Supervisors and Customer Service• Performing other duties as assigned by management that fall within the scope and level of this position.

Requirements• Proven experience within Production Planning or working in a Machine Shop.• Ability to interpret technical drawings & specifications.• Computer literate, with knowledge of Excel & Word.• Excellent communication skills.• Keen eye for detail.• Fastener experience would be good, but not essential.

Working Hours are 08.30 - 17.30.Holiday are 26 days per year, plus Bank Holidays

Salary 25-35K - Depending on Experience
