Job Title: Compliance Manager

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Compliance Manager with a strong background in Quality, Environmental, and Waste Management to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in implementing and maintaining ISO 9001 (Quality Management), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management), and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety) standards within the waste recycling sector.

Key Responsibilities:

•Develop, implement, and maintain compliance programs related to quality, environmental, and health & safety regulations.
•Ensure adherence to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards throughout all operational processes.
•Conduct internal audits and assessments to monitor compliance and identify areas for improvement.
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement best practices for waste management and recycling processes.
•Provide training and guidance to staff on compliance requirements and procedures.
•Manage laboratory activities related to sampling metals and ensure accurate data collection and analysis.
•Create and maintain hazardous waste notes, ensuring proper classification, labeling, and disposal in accordance with regulatory requirements.
•Demonstrate understanding of EWC (European Waste Catalogue) codes and ADR (Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road) requirements.
•Participate in and lead root cause analysis and corrective action following incidents or upset conditions.
•Stay updated on regulatory changes and industry standards affecting waste recycling operations.
•Maintain accurate records and documentation to support compliance efforts.

Preferred Qualifications:

•Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
•Proven experience in Quality, Environmental, and Waste Management roles.
•Certification in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
•Previous experience in laboratory sampling of metals is advantageous.
•Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
•Valid driver's license and access to a car for travel to different sites.

Salary £35-45K
