Are you a passionate number crunching Finance Manager? Do you want to work for a highly reputable company that is currently experiencing exponential growth with further plans for growth next year? If yes, this could be the perfect role for you.

My client, a luxury home-wares company, are currently seeking a personable and friendly Finance Manager to join their successful company based in Worcester.

This is a brand-new role to the business as they bring their finance function in house so initially this is an all-encompassing finance role with a view to grow a team around the successful candidate as the business continues to grow.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Raising purchase invoices/reconciling supplier ledgers
  • Allocating payments and receipts from the bank
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Aged debt-reports - sanity checks any unusual balances and query.
  • Credit Control -debtor chasing where required.
  • Liaise with the account managers.
  • Process expense claims (monthly) - gather all paperwork needed for this, scan in, invoice signed etc.
  • Ad hoc replies to queries from China re expenses
  • Month end
  • Payroll and or payroll journals
  • Correcting any mistakes with VAT that have been invoiced.
  • VAT return preparation and submission

Skills/Experience required:

  • Previous experience as a Finance Manager is essential.
  • Highly organised - Lots of paperwork to keep on top of which is crucial for month end.
  • Excellent communicator - ability to present and articulate at all levels.
  • Friendly, professional and most importantly, personable.
  • Commitment to company and team - may be instances when you need to work a little later to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to navigate bespoke finance software.
  • Self-managed with the ability to use own initiative.
  • Attention to detail
