Job Description

Passionate about precision in Food Manufacturing? We're looking for skilled Maintenance Engineer's to to join our dynamic team in York, home of the Poppets!

What you'll be doing:

  • The daily reporting of breakdowns v PPMs activities
  • Prioritisation of repair work
  • Planning and Monitoring machine performance
  • Working with the Planning Department to negotiate machine availability
  • Monitoring failure
  • Supporting External Contractors
  • Technical support for production when required
  • To maintain the highest standards in housekeeping, adopting a clean as you go policy.
  • To maintain the highest standards when completing paperwork and works sign off.

Key areas of the role:

  • Carrying out of the engineering activities.
  • Achieving P.P.M. Plans and completion rates.
  • Minimizing engineering downtime.
  • Maintaining GMP and safety standards within the Engineering Department.
  • Implementing and ensuring compliance of engineering processes within the team.
  • Ensuring the highest engineering audit standards at all times· Ensuring Engineering skills and knowledge are maintained at the highest level.

Qualifications

  • Relevant engineering qualification
  • Able to prove competency in all forms of isolation, electrical safety and safe panel entry
  • Experience of FMCG operations
  • PC Literate (thereby able to use computer-based maintenance systems)
  • Able to strip machines in full and reassemble them, as well as completing machine size change procedures and their adjustments.

  • Willing and able to work both independently and as part of a close team.
