Position Summary

 Under general supervision, the Cath Lab RN Staff Nurse provides direct nursing care in accordance with the established policies and procedures of Southwestern Medical Center to patients of all ages undergoing surgical intervention, with special emphasis placed on sterile technique, perioperative nursing care and provision of appropriate equipment.

Position Requirements:

A.    Licensure/Certification/Registration:

·         Must possess a current Registered Nurse License for the State of Oklahoma

·         Current BLS- with in 30 days of hire

·         ACLS- with in 30days

·         PALS within 6 months of hire

·         NIH Stroke by end of Clinical Nursing Orientation

B.    Education:      

Graduate from an accredited professional nurse program (diploma, ADN, BSN).

C.    Experience:

Minimum of two years clinical nursing.  One year of Cath Lab/ Cardiac experience preferred.

D.     Special qualifications:

      Good oral and written communication skills. Good computer skills.  Good interpersonal skills. Possesses/exhibits strong EKG rhythm interpretation skills
