Position Title: Traveling Service Tech/Industrial Electrician

Wage: $26.00-$30.00 per hour

Shift: 1st

QPS Employment Group has a great Traveling Service Tech/Industrial Electrician position available at a company in Roseville, IL. This is a direct hire position.

Traveling Service Tech/Industrial Electrician Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Design and fabrication of Panels and Electrical Boxes.
- Design, test, and make schematics of panels and electrical components for smokehouses and other projects.
- Work with Automation Engineers to help design, program, and test automated machinery processes.
- Organizes work by reviewing daily requirements; checking and gathering supplies to help better/service job.
- Install, maintain and repair electronic, mechanical, and electrical components.
- Travel to job sites in service area, and work to ensure schedule is maintained and delays are properly communicated to customer.
- Be available to work nights or weekends to service emergency needs of our customers.
- Document all installed equipment upon arrival, necessary test measurements, and pictures as necessary.
- Diagnose diverse service issues, obtain any replacements parts, calibrate system to manufacturer’s recommendations, and explain fully to customer what the issue is and what is needed to correct.
- Participate in company provided training opportunities on latest technologies.
- Identify and report potential opportunities for additional business (newer system, service contracts, additional services, business potentials, and opportunities).
- R & D of Equipment.
- Service existing accounts by investigating complaints, conducting tests; resolving problems.
- Establishes service by studying system requirements; ordering and gathering components and parts; completing installation; performing acceptance tests.
- Keeps personal equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventative maintenance.
- Documents service and installation actions by documenting processes and producing timely and detailed service reports.
- Maintains customer confidence by keeping service information confidential.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
- Produce timely and detailed service reports.
- Document processes.
- Cooperate with technical team and share information across the organization.
- Build positive relationships with customers.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Traveling Service Tech/Industrial Electrician Requirements:
- Good analytical skills and attention to detail with ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and manuals.
- Experience working with 480VAC, 3Ø in an Industrial environment.
- Excellent customer service skills with desire to exceed customer expectations.
- Ability to work independently in a timely manner, making sure the job is done correctly the first time.
- Observe all company procedures and safety rules.
- Work as part of our team to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Ability to work flexible shifts and to adapt to changing work schedules.
- Must be able to work overtime when needed.
- Regular travel will be expected with this position.
- Lift & carry up to 50 lbs.
- Sitting for extended periods of time.
- Driving a vehicle.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and physically be able to drive.
- Must be physically able to travel by car, train, and/or plane.
- Standing/Walking/Climbing.
- Bending/Twisting/Stooping.
- Must be able to operate equipment.
