Design Applications Engineer/ Mechanical Design Engineer

I'm recruiting for a Design Applications Engineer/ Mechanical Design Engineer on a permanent basis in Bicester, Oxfordshire.

Overview
The Design Application Engineer will assist in converting customers' requirements into product that can be designed, manufactured and supported by the company.

Role & Responsibility

• Utilize CAD systems to provide detailed drawings, manufacturing documentation and preparing cost estimates
• Manage customer requirements for the company's products
• Prepare commercial responses and proposals for both direct customers and company projects.
• Support new product development projects and report on development tests.

Personal Specification

• Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent
• Experience with conception, assembly design, or tooling.
• Competency creating CAD drawings - SolidWorks.
• Able to communicate with both suppliers and customers.
