FLT and Reach Truck Driver

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Forklift and Reach truck Operator to join our team. As a Forklift / Reach Operator, THERE IS A MANUAL ELEMENT TO THE ROLE you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a forklift to move, load, unload, and stack materials in our warehouse. This is a vital role in our operations, ensuring the smooth flow of goods and maintaining a well-organized warehouse environment. Located on the South Bound A38 Burton Gateway Park at Branston, Burton On Trent.

Responsibilities:
- Operate a forklift to move materials within the warehouse
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper placement and securement of items
- Stack and organize products in designated areas
- Perform routine inspections of the forklift and report any maintenance or repair needs
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents or damage to goods
- Collaborate with team members to fulfill customer orders and meet production goals
- Utilize a warehouse management system to track inventory and update records
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed - manual work involved, hand balling etc

Skills:
- Proven experience as a Forklift & Reach Operator
- Proficient in materials handling techniques and operating a forklift
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, including loading, unloading, and stacking procedures
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems for inventory tracking
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and calculating quantities
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

£12.20ph rising to £12.81ph after 12 weeks
