Panoramic Associates are excited to be partnering with one of our Non-Profit clients based in the South-West, who are looking for a Finance Lead to join them on a permanent basis. This Organisation is commutable from Gloucestershire, Herefordshire and South Wales.

This is an attractive opportunity to join a close-knit team with great development opportunities for future career progression whilst working for a start-up with an important mission. They are looking for a qualified Accountant, who preferably has experience working at a Finance Management Accountant level within the Public Sector.

This role is offered on a hybrid basis, with a minimum of 3 days a week on-site requirement. The successful candidate will join a supportive company working closely with the Managing Director and Operations team to:

  • Manage the day-to-day Finance functions.
  • Provide timely and accurate financial, management to support strategic decision-making.
  • Allocate effective management of resources and budgetary control by budget holders.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily accounting tasks including invoicing, payroll, VAT returns, payment processing, banking activities, credit control, cash flow management, and internal financial reporting.
  • Generate precise and user-friendly reports.
  • Uphold the organisation's records in alignment with relevant accounting standards and protocols.
  • Prepare documentation required for the annual audit and other statutory financial reporting.
  • Liaise with auditors, alongside the Director of Finance and Operations.
  • Provide expertise on financial costing and monitoring approaches for new project funding proposals.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting software (SAGE50 currently, moving to Sage Intacct).

An Ideal candidate will have:

  • Fully Qualified Accountant (CCAB or equivalent) / Management Accountant.
  • Post-Qualification Public Sector Experience
  • Successfully proven Finance Management experience.
