Our OEM Client based in Gaydon is searching for an Automotive Embroidery Trimmer Specialist to join their team, on a 12-month rolling contract, inside IR35. Â Please feel free to contact us to gain a better understanding of what this means for you.
Position Description:
This is an opportunity for an embroidery specialist to join our Client’s team to support a new and growing workstream. The candidate will be expected to develop artwork with a team of designers to create robust embroidery designs with physical, prove-out samples for low volume and bespoke production.
Skills Required:
- Embroidery digitising.
- Experience of DG16 Tagima software.
- Experience of creating artwork, stitch paths, stitch types to meet a brief.
- Experience of all aspects of machine and hand sewing, preferably durkopp experience, is desirable.
- Previous experience of working with leather and automotive textiles, is desirable.
- Knowledge and familiarity of interior soft trimmed automotive parts and their assembly is desirable.
Experience Required:
- Experience of digitising artwork to generate physical embroidery samples.
- Working knowledge of hand embroidery.
- Ability to be able to read and follow rendered designs, CAD drawings and colour call outs.
- Experience of threads, textiles, leather variants and materials suited to the automotive industry.
- Knowledge and experience of safe working practices adhering to H&S policies.
- Able to communicate effectively to other members of staff and senior management.
