The Role:
A market leading and award winning manufacturing organisation are looking to a appoint a Production Manager at their busy production site near Gravesend.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will join this small but expanding production site leading a team of 12 operators and production staff using state of the art special purpose machinery to process sheet metal production products for the construction, engineering and mechanical engineering industries.

Using your excellent planning, forecasting and production organisation skills, you will play a vital role working for this market leading manufacturing company. You will be empowered to implement your own ideas, make your own decisions and inspire change amongst your team to meet with the ever increasing demand.

This role would perfectly suit a "can do", "continuous improvement" and "forward thinking" production manager from within the sheet metal (or similar) manufacturing sector.

Candidate Requirements:
Essentially, you will be a positive, driven, reliable and forward thinking production manager, factory manager, production supervisor, production planner or similar skilled manufacturing professional.

You will also need to have technical experience from within the sheet metal production sector alongside strong knowledge of Amada, Radan, Esprit or similar special purpose machinery / systems used within the sheet metal world.

We are keen to see applications form proven production planning biased production managers but also working supervisors who are looking to make the step into a management and leadership capacity.

You will have excellent knowledge of sheet metal, fasteners, press, cutting and/or similar processes and be someone who can plan, train, lead and delegate. You will be a flexible person who can help apply manufacturing processes to new product development and prototyping alongside meeting the demands of existing product manufacturing.
