Description
- Provide financial management and analytical services.
- Support senior finance managers and the Assistant Director in delivering financial management for service agreements and research programmes.
- Produce accurate financial reports and monitor the financial impact of awards.
- Analyse and resolve financial queries, liaising with stakeholders.
- Lead year-on-year trend analysis and produce timely monthly financial reports.
- Assist in setting up new award contracts and support long-term financial planning.
- Conduct due diligence, audits, and risk assessments for global health research contracts.
- Ensure integrity of finance systems and implement financial policies.
- Communicate finance review outcomes and maintain strong working relationships with higher education institutions and health organisations.
- Contribute to ministerial briefings and government department reports.
Profile
A successful Finance Manager should have:
- A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Proven experience in a similar role within the public sector
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting processes
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- High proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong communication and presentation skills
