This is an excellent opportunity for a suitably experienced Assistant Management Accountant to join an established business based in Leicester. In the role you will perform most day-to-day transactional services and ensure policies are adhered to, whilst providing a high level of service to internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, reconcile, and analyse monthly Management Accounts.
  • Calculate bad debt provisions, accruals, and prepayments.
  • Capitalising assets and running depreciation.
  • Perform reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
  • Assist in the production of final analysis.
  • Understand, apply, and comment on the key drivers that impact the monthly management reports.
  • Liase with Business Finance and Management Accounts to quickly reconcile queries.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Help develop a customer focused culture.
  • Manage month end activities.

Skills Required

  • Demonstrate ownership and accountability.
  • Work independently to resolve issues with minimum or no guidance.
  • Enjoys solving problems and pro-actively engaging with others.
  • Three years plus relevant accounting experience in a fast-paced organisation (SME background welcome)
  • Part qualified or intending to become qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Highly organised, diligent with attention to detail.
  • Strong communications skills are essential.
  • MS Office at advanced level is essential, particularly Excel.
