We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Supervisor to work on a luxury Student Accommodation scheme based in SW London. This is a wonderful opportunity to join an ambitious, thriving and professional company with a true innovative spirit, located in heart of London.

Hours: Working 37.5 hours/week, 5 days out of 7, including bank holidays. You would be expected as a minimum to work one weekend day, twice a month.

Salary: Up to £40,000 pa + Annual Bonus (discretionary)

Duties:

  • Maintain our assets through management of planned preventative maintenance programmes and reactive maintenance activities.
  • Manage the facilities, PPM, RM and Lifecycle of the building, to ensure Customer & Property Management objectives and KPI targets are met.
  • Support Maintenance Managers with the achievement of 100% compliance in Audit.
  • Regularly perform checks to ensure that all Property Documentation Files are accurate and up to date.
  • Monitor and Manage property team adherence to H&S policy ensuring that Risk Assessments and Method Statements are obtained/ maintained and that safe systems of work are followed.
  • To join in and speak up, making a constructive contribution at the monthly team meetings.
  • Deputise for the Maintenance Manager during periods of absence & attending key business meetings in their place.
  • Support Maintenance Operatives with maintenance tasks and develop colleagues practical and technical skill.
  • Support in the induction of new team members helping them to be fully operational within role in a timely fashion.
  • Co-manage property turnaround periods with the Maintenance Manager providing comprehensive and consistent progress updates.
  • Build positive working relationships with third party contractors ensuring challenges are overcome swiftly and service provided is of a consistently high standard.
  • Support Maintenance Managers to identify training needs of Maintenance team and address any developmental areas.
  • Carry out specific training to help you in your role and to acquire new skills including full training on our bespoke IT Resident reporting systems and processes.

About You:

  • Are you comfortable and experienced in taking a hands on approach with resolving resident maintenance issues as they arise?
  • Do you have experience working in Facilities/ Estates/ Maintenance with a proven track record of maintaining assets to an exceptional standard?
  • Have you hands on experience of developing junior colleagues' technical ability?
  • Do you have good common sense and are eager to help find practical solutions?
  • Flexible in your approach to work tasks? This will help support other property teams.
  • Are you conversant and confident in most aspects of Microsoft applications (Teams, word, outlook etc), operating specialist Maintenance software?
  • Do you have knowledge and skills in technical maintenance, specialist plant/ plumbing/ electrical HVAC?
  • Have you had previous experience managing and motivating a small team?
  • Have you successfully role-modelled and represented the cultures and values for your current/previous employer?
