Location: Soho, London

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £16.00 per hour

Expected Hours: 40 - 45 hours per week

  • Monday to Friday (closed on Monday evenings)

Responsibilities: As a Pastry Chef de Partie, you will be an integral part of our culinary team, ensuring the highest standards of pastry preparation and presentation. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Collaboration: Work closely with the Head Chef and the culinary team to execute pastry dishes in alignment with the venue’s recipes and quality standards.
  2. Quality Control: Maintain consistency and excellence in pastry preparation across all culinary activities.
  3. Station Setup: Set up and stock pastry stations with necessary supplies.
  4. Health and Safety: Adhere rigorously to quality control and health and safety standards.
  5. Cross-Training: As there may not be sufficient pastry work to fill the entire 40-hour week, the successful applicant will also be required to work on other sections of the kitchen. This includes collaborating with colleagues on non-pastry tasks.
  6. Essential Experience: Bread baking and pastry experience are essential qualifications for this role.

Requirements: To excel in this role, you should have:

  • Experience: Previous experience as a CDP/Line Cook or in a similar role, with a minimum of 3 years of chef experience.
  • Skills: Confidence in running the pastry section/pass.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Teamwork: Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
