Finance Manager | Fast Growth TV Production Indie | Central London

The Client

Harmonic is excited to be working with a London-based TV production company that has worked on high-end TV projects with major streaming services and broadcasting companies such as Netflix, Channel 4, and ITV. Their high-end programmes have been recognized at major awards shows such as the Emmys. With turnover well exceeding £30 million, this production company is looking to add a talented Finance Manager to their team to support their finance team as they embark on another successful year.

Their office is located in a trendy area of central London. The team is comprised of 50 friendly, talented, and sociable people who are renowned for fostering a collaborative environment. There will be exciting opportunities to attend wrap parties, script readings, and viewings of projects.

The Role

As the Finance Manager, you will be reporting directly to the talented Head of Finance to assist with a variety of responsibilities that will offer you the opportunity to gain proficiency in a wide range of financial facets that contribute to the success of this fast-growth production company. You will be covering a broad array of duties that include Management Accounting to Financial Planning & Analysis. There are unique opportunities to progress and develop as the business scales.

Duties

  • Produce monthly management accounts
  • Conduct bank and production reconciliations
  • Work closely on budgeting and financial analysis
  • Prepare monthly journals
  • Generate VAT returns and registrations
  • Perform cashflow forecasting
  • Upload monthly payroll
  • Distribute royalties and residuals
  • Overseeing accounts payable and accounts receivable (low volume)
  • Assist on Year End tax packs and statutory accounts
  • Liaise with Head of Finance and contribute to ad hoc duties

What we need to see (essential)

  • Studying ACCA/CIMA (or fully qualified AAT)
  • Previous experience in the greater media or entertainment industries

What we like to see (bonus)

  • Previous experience in the TV industry

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000
