Finance Manager

I am looking for an experienced Finance Manager who is ACCA/ACA qualified (or equivalent) with a strong background in various finance disciplines. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, efficient, and adaptable to new challenges. This role offers the chance to be part of a growing innovative lighting company with a global presence.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Prepare and review period-end GL account reconciliations and closure processes.
  • Handle accounting and reporting for two UK subsidiaries.
  • Process journals, accruals, and adjustments for Month, Quarter, and Year-end.
  • Manage monthly payroll accounting, including journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Assist with local annual audits, statutory reporting for UK entities, and work with external consultants as needed.
  • Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and inventory accounting and reporting.
  • Oversee cash flow management, including monitoring, forecasting, and optimising the use of cash across multiple currencies.
  • Analyse monthly results and provide support to the group as required.
  • Manage taxation reporting and filing with the assistance of an external firm.
  • Ensure compliance with reporting and filings.
  • Assist with VAT reports for European VAT registrations and related reports.
  • Contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of financial SOPs.
  • Liaise with external auditors during periodic audits and reviews.
  • Prepare data and reports as required by the business.
  • Provide local management reports and maintain liaison with IT suppliers for Cloud computing maintenance.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Strong financial experience, including general ledger accounting and reporting.
  • Experience in processing payroll through Sage software and related reporting.
  • Knowledge of VAT, other taxes, and UK compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency with accounting systems such as Dynamics NAV/Netsuite or similar.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including lookup functions, pivot tables, and handling high-volume data.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce CRM software.
