Our client, a visionary team of highly reputable industry leaders and accomplished high achievers in Fixed Income, have come together to launch a credit hedge fund with ambitious plans to grow the business. This is a rare opportunity that will suit a highly experienced fixed income middle office operations specialist to join as the Operations Manager for this start-up hedge fund.This multifaceted standalone role will oversee all operational aspects for the firm, such as trade execution oversight and settlement, operational risk management, cash management & liquidity monitoring, fund performance reporting and monitoring, fund accounting oversight, vendor oversight, maintaining Prime Broker relationships, as well as process documentation. As the team grows, this role has the potential to expand further.As Operations Manager, you will be a dedicated Fixed Income Middle Office Operations specialist and will be experienced at optimising operational efficiency, managing risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance. You will also bring a thorough knowledge of regulator requirements for the FCA, SEC, and CFTC, along with compliance frameworks applicable to hedge funds. Additionally, you will be proficient in trade execution platforms, portfolio management systems, and risk management tools such as Bloomberg and MSCI RiskMetrics. To be considered, candidates must have an accountancy qualification or will be degree-educated (or possess professional qualifications such as CFA, CAIA, or FRM) and will bring 5+ years fixed income operations experience focused on credit instruments, derivatives, and financial markets, preferably gained in a hedge fund or asset management firm.
