As the Food Safety & Quality Manager, your role will be crucial in maintaining and enhancing the standards that distinguish our brand at our restaurant locations. This position involves supervising all facets of food safety, as well as health and safety, and ensuring all compliance, while building relationships with local authorities. Required to be on-site 80% in London & occasional visits to Manchester, Birmingham, Brighton, etc. locations.

Description

  1. Collaborate with restaurant teams, offering guidance and support to streamline procedures while prioritizing safety.
  2. Uphold accountability for all restaurant operations aspects concerning HACCP, hygiene, food safety, health and safety, and pest control.
  3. Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with HACCP, hygiene, and safety standards, implementing corrective actions to drive continuous improvement.
  4. Manage relationships with external auditors, regulatory bodies, and advisory services.
  5. Develop and refine auditing systems to maintain rigorous standards.
  6. Tailor food safety and management systems for each restaurant, aligning with industry best practices and specific needs.
  7. Introduce efficient and safe practices through detailed risk assessments and comprehensive staff training.
  8. Develop training modules to empower staff in maintaining high standards.
  9. Establish a robust quality assessment program for ongoing evaluation.
  10. Utilize data-driven insights to identify trends, areas of improvement, and successes, leading initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and quality standards.
  11. Generate detailed quality reports for restaurants and support teams, offering insights and recommendations for informed decision-making.
  12. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to align on goals and strategies.
  13. Identify opportunities to reduce costs while upholding high standards.
  14. Optimize resource allocation for maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
  15. Explore and integrate technological solutions to improve food safety and operational efficiency.
  16. Stay updated on evolving regulations and industry standards, ensuring swift adaptation of processes to comply with new requirements.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Safety or equivalent
  • Substantial experience in the food industry, particularly in manufacturing or retail
  • Certification in Food Hygiene
  • Proficiency in Quality Management Systems, HACCP, and QMS systems
  • Trained as a Lead Auditor
  • Excellent communication skills with a talent for problem-solving and administration
  • Demonstrated proficiency in technical report writing
  • Proven ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Required to travel to different site locations throughout the week, with 80% of travel in London and occasional trips to Manchester, Birmingham, Brighton, etc.
