Position: Payroll Administrator
Location: London
Employment Type: 6 month contract, Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm
Pay Rate: £180.00 per day (inclusive of holidays)
Job Overview:
We are seeking a diligent and experienced Payroll Administrator to join our dynamic HR team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in processing payroll in accordance with UK and Ireland payroll regulations. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, maintaining payroll records, and addressing payroll-related inquiries.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Processing:
- Accurately process end-to-end payroll for employees in the UK and Ireland.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant payroll regulations and legislation.
- Handle payroll calculations, including statutory deductions, pension contributions, and other payroll elements.
Data Management:
- Maintain and update payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and changes in employee information.
- Ensure the integrity and confidentiality of payroll data.
Compliance and Reporting:
- Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll laws and regulations in the UK and Ireland.
- Prepare and submit statutory filings and reports, such as PAYE, National Insurance, RTI submissions, and P30/P35 returns.
- Assist with internal and external audits related to payroll.
Issue Resolution:
- Address and resolve payroll discrepancies and issues promptly.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and deductions.
Collaboration and Support:
- Work closely with the HR and Finance departments to ensure accurate data flow and financial reporting.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of payroll systems and software.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience in a payroll administration role, specifically handling UK and Ireland payrolls.
- Proficiency with payroll software and systems (e.g., Sage, ADP, or similar).
- Strong understanding of UK and Ireland payroll regulations, tax laws, and statutory requirements.
Skills:
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
