You will be expected to complete tasks from written work instruction, including Mechanical strips and refits on components. You will also specifically work on modifications of Heavy Diesel engines. This is a Safety Critical position and is a requirement against the Service Agreement (SA). The position is based on a busy maintenance depot and all applicants would be expected to complete the following: * Bogie exchanges * Permanent and Auto couplers exchanges* Drive shaft repair and/or exchanges * Axle changes * Traction motors * Power pack drop (Engine) * Compressors * Mechanical Mods Qualifications:NVQ 3 or City & Guilds Level 3 qualification in a Mechanical discipline is a requirement.
