Children Contact Worker - Weekend Supervisor

Location: Workington

Hours: Part-time, Weekend (Saturday and Sunday)

Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of young individuals? Are you skilled in providing support and guidance to adolescents facing educational challenges? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

We are currently seeking a dedicated and empathetic individual to join our team as a Children Contact Worker - Weekend Supervisor. In this role, you will be responsible for supervising a young person who is currently out of education, providing support, and engaging him in outdoor and gardening activities throughout the weekend.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accompany the young person to outdoor and gardening activities on weekends.
  • Provide supervision and guidance to ensure the safety and well-being of the individual.
  • Foster a supportive and nurturing environment conducive to his personal growth and development.
  • Utilise your strong personality to establish rapport and build trust with the young individual.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of trauma, attachment, and child development principles.
  • Implement safeguarding measures to protect the welfare of the individual at all times.
  • Prepare detailed reports documenting activities, progress, and any concerns observed during interactions.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with adolescents, preferably in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of trauma, attachment, and child development theories.
  • Empathetic and patient nature with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to establish boundaries while maintaining a supportive relationship.
  • Flexibility to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
