Role:               Service ManagerBased:            West YorkshireSalary:            £31,700Hours:             37.5 hours per week - Monday to FridayStart Date:      ASAPDuration:        PermanentHoliday Entitlement: 25 days + Bank HolidaysOur client, a respected charity who provide support, advocacy and safe housing to survivors of Domestic Abuse, Human Trafficking and Modern Slavery, is looking to recruit a Service Manager for their safehouse in West Yorkshire.As the Service Manager you will ensure your team are empowered to encourage and help clients become empowered and lead healthy lives.Synopsis of duties:

  • Ensure the smooth running of the office and its facilities
  • Managing a staff team of approximately 15.
  • Arrange and run weekly meetings
  • Ensuring that the service is being delivered correctly and to contractual obligations.
  • Ensure KPI’s are met on an ongoing basis
  • Staff management; carrying out supervisions and case management/ audits.
  • Build and maintain solid working relationships within the service and with other organisations and agencies.
  • Promote the service and ensure clients have access to all available services and working closely with a range of partners, agencies and services
  • On-call once every 3 months

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience of managing services that deliver support to vulnerable adults, ideally within an accommodation-based service.
  • Be able to demonstrate extensive knowledge and experience of supporting victims of abuse and/ or trauma, preferably domestic abuse, modern slavery and/ or asylum seekers
  • Substantial experience of managing staff and teams
  • Ability to manage crisis, conflict, safeguarding and complex case situations.
  • Ability to empower and motivate team members
  • Enhanced DBS registered on the update service would be desirable
