The Opportunity:Nigel Wright Recruitment are excited to be supporting a dynamic and rapidly expanding Software as a Service (SaaS) company in their search for an experienced and motivated Sales Team Manager. Our client provides industry leading technology solutions, servicing a range of sectors including government, healthcare and facilities management. The Sales Team Manager will lead, inspire, manage and develop a team of Business Development Representatives (BDRs) to close business leads and drive revenue growth. This is a hybrid role with circa 2 days per week based at the brand new office facilities in Newcastle city centre. Role Profile:
  • Develop and execute a solid sales plan to generate new business revenue
  • Oversee the BDR team’s efforts in performing effective demos and closing the sale
  • Conduct regular one to ones and annual performance reviews for direct reports
  • Provide ongoing coaching and mentorship to ensure their success
  • Foster a professional and motivated culture within the team
  • Where needed, recruit, onboard, and train BDRs
  • Ensure a timely sales pipeline management is carried out to provide a steady flow of new income
  • Monitor KPIs, track team performance, and implement improvements as needed
  • Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams, including SDR, Account Management and Customer Success
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs
Person Specification:
  • Proven experience managing a BDR team within a SaaS environment would be highly advantageous
  • Strong understanding of SaaS / Telecoms / IT products and market dynamics
  • Experience working in a dynamic, performance driven environment
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving and exceeding targets
  • Previous success in building solid working relationships with stakeholders
