An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Scientist to join a well-established organisation based in the Reading area. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing studies, providing crucial input to drive projects forward, and meticulously planning to ensure the timely delivery of designs and other essential development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design of studies and provide input to drive projects forward.
  • Detailed planning to ensure timely delivery of designs and development documentation.
  • Maintain expert knowledge in the field, staying up-to-date with the latest R&D workflows and

scientific literature.

  • Conduct antibody profiling in cell-based assays.
  • Facilitate gene cloning through molecular biology techniques.
  • Construct antibody libraries.
  • Perform a range of analytical assays, including ELISAs and TR-FRET assays.
  • Purify proteins using affinity chromatography.
  • Analyse and interpret data, with a solid understanding of descriptive statistics.
  • Optimize manual and/or automated diagnostic devices.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • PhD in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related discipline, with 2-4 years of direct

experience working with antibodies and/or other recombinant proteins.

  • Proficient in molecular biology techniques for gene cloning.
  • Experience in antibody library construction.
  • Skilled in conducting a variety of analytical assays, including plate-based immunoassays

(ELISAs and TR-FRET assays).

  • Proficiency in protein purification using affinity chromatography.
  • Strong data analysis and interpretation skills.
  • Experience in optimizing manual and/or automated diagnostic devices.
