We have an exciting opportunity for a Contract Manager to join a forward thinking, friendly and growing Facilities Management organisation in Stoke-on-Trent.
The Contract Manager will be responsible for the hard services FM on a growing portfolio of student accommodation. Overseeing a technical supervisor and compliance/helpdesk manager, you will ensure all KPI’s and budgets are met in line with the contract and work closely with the client to ensure customer satisfaction.

The contract is mobilising in June so you will be able to help set the standards and culture from the outset. The student accommodation is new build and so will be in excellent condition to maintain and over the next few years more blocks will be mobilised and come online in your portfolio, providing a steady and manageable growth trajectory for the role.

The role is a site based (ST4 postcode), please note there is no vehicle with the role. There is parking on site if you prefer to drive there but it is also next to the train station and bus routes.

Duties of the role include:

  • Overseeing the hard services maintenance.
  • Being aware of snagging issue and working with the construction company as required to rectify.
  • Manging the KPI’s an SLA’s’ to ensure work is completed on time.
  • Worling with the help desk and compliance manger to improve efficiency and delivery.
  • Use the CAFM system to manage job data.
  • Oversee the site budget.
  • Work with external subcontractors on niche work ensuring high work standards are met.
  • Manage SHEQ across the contract.
  • Always ensure technical compliance including all accompanying paperwork.
  • Ensure a robust asset management system is in place backed up by effective use of the CAFM system. 
  • Maximise profits whilst achieving the required quality standards with minimal penalty deductions.
  • Working closely with the customer to build positive relationships.
  • Management of and responsibility for the financial performance of the contract.
  • Risk management – identifying and minimizing risk, early identification of potential problems, escalating where necessary to the Head of FM.


The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Come from a technical hand on background within FM.
  • Mechanical or electrical qualifications.
  • Experience as a supervisor/contract manager.
  • Ideally experienced in student accommodation or high end residential environment.
