As a Payroll Officer, you will be primarily responsible for handling all payroll functions within the organisation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with governmental regulations. This role is situated within a not-for-profit organisation in the Accounting & Finance department, where you will be a pivotal team member.

Description

  • Manage and execute all aspects of payroll processing.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant payroll legislation and internal policies.
  • Prepare and submit statutory returns and year-end reports.
  • Handle payroll queries effectively and efficiently.
  • Manage payroll documentation and data entry with high accuracy.
  • Work closely with the HR team to reconcile any discrepancies.
  • Participate in payroll system updates and improvements.
  • Contribute to the overall efficiency of the Accounting & Finance department.

Profile

A successful Payroll Officer should have:

  • Strong knowledge of payroll practices and regulations.
  • Excellent numerical skills and high attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and MS Office.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member.
  • Relevant qualifications in accounting, finance, or similar fields.
  • Experience working in a Not-For- Profit organisation is desirable but not essential
